Spearheaded by Senator Robert Martwick’s office, Paczki Day on the NW side is an annual celebration of Polish culture that both our offices enjoy sharing with all of our state legislators. Every year, both the Senator and I do our best to bring the delicious pastries to our colleagues down in Springfield as well as sharing them with local community organizations on the NW side. This year we were able to share the desserts with seniors in our community as well as volunteers and clients of New Hope Food Pantry. With the lack of social service organizations on our side of the city, we are so grateful to have the Polish American Association right in our backyards. It’s always a pleasure working alongside the PAA to make this event happen, and this fundraising effort allowed us to raise some necessary funds for the PAA’s essential programming.
